Juventus striker Giuseppo Rossi has revealed he was inspired by the club’s shirt worn by his former teammate Alessandro Del Piero.
The Giuseppa Rossoneri striker was speaking to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport ahead of the match against Bologna on Wednesday night.
“I wanted to take a picture with the shirt,” Rossi told Corri.
“When I first joined Juventus in the summer of 2013, it was a shirt worn in a game against AC Milan.
I don’t think it’s possible to take it in the dressing room, because it’s not worn by Alessandro.”
The Italian international was signed by the Bianconeri in July 2014 and was given his first senior start for the club on January 15, the day before his 30th birthday.
“That shirt has remained in my mind for the last few months,” Rossi added.
“It’s a shirt I wear when I go out with my teammates, and it’s a great reminder of the good times I had together.”
Del Piero wore it in that game as well.
That’s why I have the feeling I will always be a fan of the club.
“If I get the chance to wear it in a friendly match, I would like to do it.”
The Juventus shirt was worn by Del Pierot at the end of the 1995-96 season as the Rossonerios won the Serie A title.
It has been used by many other Italian players since the Giusepella’s arrival in Serie A, and Rossi feels it is fitting to wear the shirt that has been in his family since he was a child.
“For the last two years, my family have been wearing the shirt.
It is something that my dad has worn for many years.”
In that shirt, we won the league.
It was also used by other players.
It has become something we cherish and cherish.
“As a boy, it has always been a symbol of Juventus, the club I played for and one I will never forget.”
