By now you’ve probably seen the artwork for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that was featured in this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly.

While there are a few easel paintings in the issue, the one that caught our eye is one by David Thompson.

Thompson’s artwork was created to depict Luke Skywalker as a line art painting on a painting easel.

Thompson had previously collaborated with director Gareth Edwards on the film’s visual effects, so he obviously knows his stuff.

What’s more, Thompson’s work has appeared in a number of other artworks including The Hobbit, Jurassic Park, and Jurassic World.

The line art paintings in this article are a nod to both the upcoming film, and to the Rogue One film itself.
